I also put in 1 tsp of baking powder, oh and I use only 1 tsp of salt. This last time I made it with 1/2 white and 1/2 wheat flour; also very good! I will have to try it sometime. It really is that time of year for apple pie, and apple sauce. My friend Chalea posted a picture of her first apple pie on facebook.
