Dahlias

I was reading the pioneer woman yesterday and she had the most beautiful pictures of dahlias on
her site and a link where to buy them...then remembered we have one of the top producer's of Dahlias
right down the road from me...you can also order the Dahlias on line....just go to
http://www.connells-dahlias.com/ and click 'view pictures' and you can see pictures of the dahlias before you order them....they are perfect for the Northwest and like full sun....they are just as beautiful as any flower out there...

In late August you can visit the Farm and buy and or cut your own Dahlias, they have 5 acres to choose from...you can also at that time order (in person) your own Dahlias for your garden...

Then in September you can go and see their display at the Puyallup Fair....

this is such a happy, beautiful color....an apricot orangey...stop rubbing your eyes, the pictures really ARE blurry..

can imagine anything so intricate?

they also have some great helpful hints for growing Dahlias on their site.....and how to cut down on the amount of earwigs....(it is a fact, that if you have never seen an earwig in your garden it you plant Dahlia's they will show up) and off of one tuber you get a great big plant with many, many flowers. Enough to cut and share with your family and friends!
