I don't think I told you that I recently went to Hawaii....I went to Maui for a work conference for 3 days...I had never been before and had thought I would never go, but here was this great opportunity! My daughter Anne was kind enough to drop everything and go with me....One of the conference activities, was snorkeling...now I am not much of a swimmer and snorkeling would have been at the bottom of my list of things to do...horseback riding-yes....zip lining-yes...lei making- yes...snorkeling-huh?....but here I was out on the boat being a snorkeler....the reason I am telling you this is, if you ever get the opportunity to snorkel...please go! the opportunity to swim in paradise with beautiful fish is unforgettable!
here is the boat, already to go!
the captain! his name is Brian and he let us sit with him....our destination Honalua Bay!
ahhh paradise......
check out the water...can you believe the color? and it is as clear as a swimming pool....
this is the boat we were on...see how the steps come down into the water? That is how you get in and out....they tell you how to use the snorkeling equipment and then set you loose!
my daughter rented an underwater camera at the hotel and it was great! It held 700 pictures and the price included them putting the pictures on a cd.....
this is my girl, underwater......see the coral? and the fish swim all over it....you just put on your mask breathe through your mouth and float, give a little kick every once in a while...and away you go!
this is yours truly....who knew I was an underwater snorkeler....
this is a sea anemone...they are everywhere all over the coral....
look at that design of the coral...can you believe it?
the water is so blue and even in a picture it is stunning....
look at this guy....funny huh?
can you just imagine what these fish are thinking.....
such great color...it is like swimming in a saltwater fish tank.....
I wish I knew all the fishes names....you do not have to hunt around for fish, they are everywhere!
then eventually you all get called back on the boat and it is time to return....did I forget to say what cutie patuties the crew were?
they were putting up the sails so we could sail home...
the captain cut the motors and we sailed out toward Molaki...it was so peaceful and tranquil....
Molaki off in the distance.....
And then back to paradise again.....ahhhhhh.....
Cheers to Happy !!
That was an absolutely fabulous tour of going snorkeling! I love that you even did underwater shots. You are so diligent; even doing your blog for us when you are off in "Paradise". Thanks, Debbie!!!
