Tequila-Lime Shrimp...

Going into the liquor store to buy tequila the salesman asked a question "going to Mexico by plane or by train?" never heard of this before.....what he meant by this comment is the fast way is by plane meaning shots and the slow way is by train and means slow sips......oh my, wouldn't he be surprised that it was all for a recipe...this is such a flavorful recipe...it would be great as ANYTHING...as an appetizer or entree or in a taco...you choose..it goes together very fast and is guaranteed good!

Tequila-Lime Shrimp
1/2 stick butter
1 tb olive oil
1 garlic minced
1 lb of shelled shrimp
1 tb lime juice
1/2 ts salt
1/2 ts chili powder
1/2 cup of finely chopped cilantro

Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet, over medium heat. Add garlic and shrimp cook about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in Tequila, lime juice, salt, and chili powder. cook 2 minutes more until most of the liquid is evaporated and shrimp is pink, and glazed...add cilantro...
Serve with a squeeze of fresh lime wedge...

gather all your ingredients, again this goes rather quickly...you will want everything ready...

the shrimp simmering in the butter, garlic and oil.....then add the chili powder, salt, lime juice and tequila....

toss in the cilantro....reduce slightly and then ready!

Enjoy!!!!

Cheers to Happy  !!
