Blue Cheese Steak Butter...

Blue Cheese Steak Butter

What goes better with a steak than blue cheese? The flavor of the blue cheese enhances the beef...it seems to me, a manly meal..This steak butter came about by accident...I was thinking of doing something like this for the restaurant...we now have a steak that comes with blue cheese dressing on top of the steak...although good...it is a cold dressing and doesn't melt into the steak like it should...this compound butter fits the bill nicely...the garlic butter melts into the steak and the blue cheese softens and melts a little and sits right on top of the steak proudly...I am going to push for a menu change and hopefully have this available for the steak and a burger...I loved it so much!

Blue Cheese Steak Butter
1/2 cup softened butter
3/4 cup blue cheese
2 large cloves of garlic, chopped fine or through a garlic press
salt and pepper
1/2 cup of chopped fresh parsley
add all together and mix thoroughly....

add all the ingredients in a mixing bowl...

stir like crazy...

you can store the remainder in parchment paper...just make into a roll.....

roll in the paper like a tootsie roll and store in the freezer...you can just open and cut off what you need, put the rest back...also great on burgers....oh man, and how great it would be on a ear of corn!

place atop steak, while still on the BBQ for a few minutes...the butter will melt and the cheese soften....

The flavors are wonderful...the blue cheese...the garlic and butter, add such a punch of flavor...simply the best!

Cheers to Happy  !!

  1. I have never been a blue cheese fan (but that is for dressings on salad). Once I had the blue cheese on a burger I was hooked. This looks yummy!
