Cabbage Apple Slaw...

This is such a refreshing salad...I have made plenty of sweet coleslaw salads but none ever has called for brown sugar....this is hands down the best one I have ever ate! It has a Carmel flavor and goes perfect with the crisp apples!

Cabbage Apple Slaw
3 cups chopped cabbage
1 unpeeled red apple cored and chopped
1 large stalk of celery finely chopped
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
2 green onions, finely chopped
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste

Directions

1.In a large bowl, combine cabbage, apple, celery and nuts in a bowl.....mix mayonnaise and brown sugar and lemon juice together...pour over salad and mix.....

mix up the dressing...(action shot, trying to squeeze lemon and take picture at the same time)

put all your chopped vegetables and fruit and nuts in a mixing bowl...

pour over the dressing....

and serve!!! Happy Fall!

Cheers to Happy  !!

  2. Looks great. The coleslaw recipe I use is from Nigella Express - it in an American inspired recipe which uses buttermilk and maple syrup. It is gorgeous. I imagine it is similar to your one.
