Applesauce Raspberry Jello

This is a great recipe......don't I start every recipe that way? Well this one is a family favorite....it is from my Great Aunt Wowie.....Many years ago when Aunt Wowie was pretty frail...some of us cousins and family members went to her house to work in her yard, weeding and trimming and pruning....at lunch time we were so surprised that she had made us lunch...I do not remember everything that we had but I do remember the jello....I loved it so, and knowing me, I had gone on and on about it....later she came out of the house and gave me this recipe, hand written with her shaky hand...it is truly one of my treasures...a great addition to any holiday meal.....

Applesauce Raspberry Jello

6 oz package of Jello
2 cups of boiling water
20 ounces of frozen raspberry's
2 cups of applesauce
3 cups of mini marshmallows
16 ounces of sour cream

dissolve jello in boiling water.....add frozen raspberries and stir....add applesauce and stir well...
refrigerate until firm 2-4 hours....the mix the marshmallows with the sour cream well and top jello with it....
refrigerate again for 2-4 hours or best overnight...This can be made smaller, by using the small pack of jello and 1/2 of the rest of ingredients...also you can use sugar free jello and fat free sour cream and make it heart healthy

you will just need these few ingredients.....(yes I freeze the raspberries in the boxes)

dissolve the jello with the 2 cups boiling water...

add all the frozen raspberries....stir just until the berries are thawed....careful that they don't fall apart...

add applesauce and stir and ....

and put in a 13x9 pan and place in the fridge for 2-4 hours...

place the sour cream in a bowl...

add marshmallows and stir.....well....then

put on the firm jello....and spread out evenly...

this is so pretty....put back in the fridge for a few hours or overnight...

This is guaranteed good.....make it this holiday season and start a new tradition in your home!!!!

Cheers to Happy  !!
