Tulip Fields

This is Misty, my granddaughter...she is eleven...remember I got her a camera for Christmas? Well this last week-end she and her mother went to Mount Vernon to the tulip fields...She took maybe 400 pictures...she did an outstanding job. Here is a sampling of some I picked to show you!!!!! Enjoy!!!

Every year Mount Vernon Washington has a tulip festival...they have hundreds of acres of Tulips...tulips of every color and every design...it is in a very rural valley nestled at the foot of beautiful hills....they open the fields for tours a few weeks every year....

there are fields and fields of these flowers !!!
look at how the sun glows on these....

I love this one too!
and this one......
oh how I wish this was my yard!
how about this?
or the sun on these beauties?
I love the pink ones.....
and this single pink....

how about these great daffodils?
oh this could be wallpaper.....
might be my favorite! I love the bee....bees are so amazing!
these have feather edges!
see?
these look like sherbet...now these are my favorites....
ok I will be quiet....
until now....this one looks so much like a cabbage rose....
and this one looks like a wild rose....
ok I can't be quiet....look at the sun on these beauties?
My dad would have loved this red field of flowers...
I think this is so cool...the single flower in the mud...with the twist tie...it says so much about life....anything is possible...you can be a beautiful flower in mud...just reach for the sun, and take your twist tie with you....
stunning....
happy....
again looks like a rose!
amazing....
I think heaven looks like this!

I love thinking about Misty and her mother walking around the tulip fields and Misty stopping and taking all these absolutely amazing, fabulous pictures, and her mother patiently waiting. Everyone of them very frameable and could be included in magazines and even travelogues of the area....Wow, I think Misty has found her passion!

Cheers to Happy  !!

  2. Misty, you are a photographer, for sure! I am awed by the beauty in these pictures, and the quality of the photography is beyond good, it is great! Can I use them for my computers wallpaper? Thanks for the "trip" to Mt Vernon, WA.

  3. Oh my gosh! I had heard other comment about the photos Misty took. Now I see why they were so impressed!! Just beautiful. I do have a favorite. The field of red that you commented that your dad would have loved. I actually gasped at that one.
Misty: you did such a wonderful job. You must be so patient to get these just right. Thank you for sharing them with us.
