Fried Fresh Corn....

This time of year you can find the best fresh corn you have ever eaten. It is time to freeze some for winter......or to make corn for dinner... this recipe is ridiculously easy.....I have been making this for years....I like it better than eating corn on the cob, this is the one you make when you are serving indoors, save the corn ON the cob for an outdoor picnic....the corn is fresh and crisp and buttery and easy to eat! It goes great with a steak or ribs or ham or chicken, well anything....

Just 4-6 ears of fresh corn
4 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon of bacon fat (optional)
salt and pepper

first cut the corn off the cob, saving the cobs for the chickens....

do this in a deep bowl....just hold one ear up and rest the bottom of the ear in the bowl, use a very sharp knife and cut the corn off the cob...

use 1 tablespoon of bacon grease and 4 tablespoon of butter...heat over medium heat....remember when everyone had bacon grease in a little pot in the middle of the stove?

put your corn in the pan......
and fry...on medium heat.....stirring every so often....

cook about 10 minutes just until the corn starts to brown on the bottom of the pan...

salt and pepper and enjoy!!!

Cheers to Happy  !!
