I read this recently and it says exactly what we have been discussing on here....I just never looked at it this way before....and yet it is what we all strive to do in our everyday lives....really seeing people....really looking at them.
Citizens of Christ throughout the ages, of the world, have been distinguished by their compassion, wouldn't you say?....but really, really, really in the end, the number of prayers we say may contribute to our happiness, but the number of prayers we answer may be of even greater importance. Let us open our eyes and see the heavy hearts, notice the loneliness and despair: let us feel the silent prayers of others around us and let us be the instrument to answer those prayers.
Whew, that about says it all, for the first Sunday of this new year! Our happiness lies in helping others!
